Our Story

After running Y-Not's Furniture & Gifts in Canterbury for a couple of years, we decided to make the move to the Waikato to follow other business ventures.  After settling into our new home and visiting the surrounding areas we fell in love with the beautiful little town of Tirau.  When an ideal premises for opening a new furniture and homeware store came on the market in Tirau we decided the opportunity was too good to pass up. So Paisley House was born.

The name Paisley House was inspired by our many trips to India where we source our beautiful furniture and original home decor pieces which are sold instore at 28 Main Road, Tirau, and online.  Each piece is either a high quality original which has been lovingly restored or has been reproduced with its own unique character using recycled materials or wood from sustainable forests and government controlled fair trade.
